In order to meet both your and our high expectations in our service-level, LOCON has implemented in 2004 a certified quality-management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008. The re-audit which took place in March 2009 has been passed successfully and complies already with the exigency of the new DIN EN ISO 9001 ; 2008.
Furthermore we have engaged ourselves as a member of the control-group rail-builders on a voluntary base to practice a standard within the company which exceeds the norms.

The LOCON AG – About us

It took LOCON only eight years in order to enter the group of market-leaders within the railway-logistic and railway-transportation business in Germany.
Due to its proverbial customer-orientation, the high skill of their collaborators and the their perfect order- and operation  planning in either business units, LOCON has achieved to built up its base for success. The company has given multiple proof of its ability to act successfully even under heavy strain.
With the foundation of the company in the year 2002 the owners have set their goals very high. Indeed much as been achieved.

Today LOCON can rely on a highly skilled, specialized and motivated group of collaborators, counting by this date 100 persons, and being engaged in the operations, in planning, disposition, at the building sites, in the schedule office or in the administration.
Thanks to a broad spectrum of regular clients who know to appreciate the high quality performance the company enjoys a great reputation within the field.
The rolling stock has been built up continuously, thus enabling to stem increasing demand and ensure a high degree of flexibility. LOCON counts today 21 locomotives on the rails as well as 187 wagons of different types.

The BU Logistics and Railway Transportation are representing the key-competences of LOCON. The BU Consulting offers to such companies, working at the railway site without authorization, their services by appointing skilled and certified staff on a temporary base. LOCON offers in addition to their in-house staff  and foreign company members courses and seminars in order to improve their knowledge in the railway business.
