In Berlin-Lichtenberg the engine-change took place. The locomotive-driver Wilfried Heber, duly dressed in his uniform and waering the traditional white gloves, checked himself the correctness of the action and off they went to Sczeczin.
We were very pleased about this cooperation and do wish of course our friends from the vintage club also in the future good luck in their interesting hobby.

LOCON 301 mingels among veterans –
Vintage-journey Cottbus – Stettin (Sczeczin)
The vintage journey of the Lausitz steam-locomotive Club e.V. (http://www.lausitzerdampflokclub.de/) led this year from Cottbus
at the Southern part of Brandenburg to Stettin, the Polish Sczeczin,
and return.
The highly expectant passengers, both with 2 and 4 legs, could enjoy
on this trip the landscapes of the Lausitz, the Oderbruch and the Uckermark.
In addition a stop at Berlin-Lichtenberg had been planned.
And that with good reason: It was here in Berlin where an engine-change had been foreseen and where the beautiful express-train steam-locomotive (03-2204-0, year of construction 1936) had to be changed against the semi-veteran the Diesel-engine BR 228, year of construction 1967.
This was exactly the moment where our LOCON 301, which only recently
passed through the rigid main-control, came into duty with all honors.
