LOCON moves into new premises
The moving from the 5th floor in the old premises at Markgrafendamm to the new offices at the 10th floor in the famous Karl-Marx-Allee was duly planned for Friday morning at 7 o’clock on July 3, 2009.
The furniture of 23 offices and the bulk of 310 boxes had to be stowed and brought to their new destination.
For a company whose key business is logistics, this moving was a real challenge seen the fact that the regular operation should be working without any interruption, just like nothing has happened.
In fact the whole process went on very smoothly thanks to the experienced 14 collaborators of the moving firm, though some rain showers tried to disturb the action.
Close to midnight the first offices were already fit to operate again, on Saturday and Sunday the remaining offices were made to function too. The most important task which was fulfilled was to assure the functioning of the IT system.
Because of an untimely delay of the Telekom in the installation of the switch board system we had to make some arrangements to be never-the-less accessible by phone. We do hope however that this nuisance will not prevail for long and do apology for any difficulty you may have in order to reach us.
At this time we like to thank all those helpful persons who have made it possible to achieve our goal on time very sincerely.
