Wonderful Copenhagen – LOCON goes North
Locon’s first foreign logistic project created some important
requirements to the staff engaged in the task. Before being able
to start the Nordbanen-project as a subcontractor for Messrs.
Leonhardt Weiss in Halle, a crash-course in Danish had to be
passed. In particular such famous words as [roedgroed med floede]
or [oel] in order to avoid any misunderstandings had to be trained.
After
passing the test, our collaborators understood that the first word means
nothing less but the delicious dessert ‘red groats with cream’ and the latter
‘beer’, indeed better not to confound!
After such good preparation, work could start at the Nordbanen project, a 30 km city-train track between Swanemoellen and Hilleroed north of Copenhagen to be entirely refurbished and modernized. During the months of June and September our logistic-specialists will undertake and supply in cooperation with Leonhardt Weiss the whole shunting and logistic tasks for this complex project.
For LOCON and its staff this project is an interesting challenge and a further step towards a greater engagement beyond its own borders.
